THE-ICE is delighted to announce the winners of THE-ICE GRM Challenge 2024, our global student competition exclusively for students of THE-ICE accredited member institutions. Now in its fourth year, THE-ICE GRM Challenge brings together students and staff across our global network, providing an opportunity to engage and build international skills and experience.
THE-ICE GRM Challenge 2024 attracted 67 students representing 9 institutions, who were grouped into international and inter-institutional teams to compete in an innovative and exciting challenge that tested and developed their hospitality and tourism revenue management skills.
We wish to congratulate the winning teams in THE-ICE GRM Challenge 2024, who demonstrated significant skill and international collaboration. We are delighted to reward their achievements through the following prizes, generously supported by our Business Alliance Partners Russell Partnership Technology and CoStar SHARE Center:
1st Place – Team 9
Kwok Wai Lee, Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School at Torrens University Australia, Australia, Reign Aizle Angeles, Far Eastern University, Philippines and Thipsuda Saimai, Dusit Thani College, Thailand. With thanks to Staff Advisor Mr Dennis Lemsic, University of Santo Tomas, Philippines.
All participating students of the team receive a $AUD1500 bursary towards study offered by any member of THE-ICE, AND a free registration for the Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) or the Certification in Advanced Hospitality and Tourism Industry Analytics (CAHTA) for those that already have the CHIA Certification, offered by CoStar SHARE Center AND a free registration on the Hospitality Business Acumen (HBA) Certificate programme offered by Russell Partnership Technology.
2nd Place – Team 5
Flavia Wolfensberger, EHL Swiss School of Tourism and Hospitality, Switzerland and Ghaylle Jermaine Enguero, University of Santo Tomas, Philippines.
All participating students of the team receive a free registration for the Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) or the Certification in Advanced Hospitality and Tourism Industry Analytics (CAHTA) for those that already have the CHIA Certification AND a free registration on the Hospitality Business Acumen (HBA) Certificate programme.
3rd Place – Team 18
Jotame Driu, The University of the South Pacific – Pacific TAFE, Fiji, Learah Grace Magboo, Far Eastern University, Philippines, and Maria Alleine Quintos, University of Santo Tomas, Philippines. With thanks to Staff Advisor Mr Leonard Cseh, University of Derby, United Kingdom.
All participating students of the team will receive a free registration on the Hospitality Business Acumen (HBA) Certificate programme.
