Sandra Seelinger from Germany won THE-ICE Bachelor Scholarship to study the Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management at The Hotel School Sydney. Sandra is delighted that she has won the scholarship to study Hotel Management in Australia.
Sandra has chosen to study Hotel Management because she enjoys people and travel and Hotel Management is such an interesting industry. Sandra comes from Furstenfeldbruck Bavaria. Furstenfeldbruck is a small town close to Munich. "In my hometown, we have mostly small and sometimes family owned Hotels and one larger one the "Hotel zue Post", we have beautiful scenery and mountains and of course the Oktoberfest", she said.
Sandra would like to complete her Bachelor studies in Australia and her goal is to work in a Hotel and work towards establishing a management position. Sandra is settling quickly into her studies at The Hotel School Sydney. "The teachers are friendly and helpful. It is very easy to learn in such a relaxed and friendly environment", she said. "Also at The Hotel School Sydney, they place you right in the industry and provide continual assistance to become a professional."
When asked of her first impressions of Sydney, she said "The Australian people are friendly and relaxed; it is a great city with an abundance of fantastic nature."
Sandra has got to know several people on the first international welcome day and since commencing her studies she has made friends with many new people from Germany, Hong Kong, the Philippines as well as Australia.
Sandra would like to see more of Australia while she is studying here and also visit some of Australia's nearby countries as well. |
